Guardian Link Privacy Policy

Guardian Link processes location and device status data solely to deliver family safety alerts, arrival notifications, and care plan updates to approved family guardians.

1. Controller

Guardian Link is operated by RXT Development, South Africa. Privacy contact: privacy@guardian-link.co.za.

2. Data collected

• Account data: Guardian name, email address, password hash, linked family member names, relationships, usernames.
• Location data: High-accuracy GPS coordinates, speed, battery level, network status reported by linked family devices.
• Safety settings: Configured Safe Zones, geofence boundaries, emergency contact assignments, and medication schedules.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Location and status data are processed based on explicit guardian consent and contractual necessity to perform safety features (SOS alerts, arrival/departure notifications, and medication reminders).

4. Children's privacy

Child accounts are created and configured exclusively by an authenticated family owner or guardian. Children cannot publicly disclose location data outside their designated family network.

5. Data retention and rights

Activity logs and location histories are automatically pruned after 30 days. You may request data export or account deletion at any time via delete-account.html.
